  • ER-40 collets have a wide range of clamping. The sizes listed are the max sizes that the collet can hold. Collets have a range of 1mm (.039") For example, a 5mm ER-40 collet can clamp a max size of 5mm, but can clamp down to 4mm. Another example, a 10mm ER-40 collet can clamp down to 9mm. So every size from 1mm to 26mm is covered with this set.
  • **These collets snap in to the holders. If you look at the ER collet nut, the hole will appear to be off center. Please see instruction sheets showing how to snap the collet in, this is how they are designed**
